The US immigration system has transformed in an agency targeting and criminalizing people based on their country of origin, complexion of skin and religious beliefs. Many of the undocumented people who have crossed the US border have done so as a result of economic, political and safety reasons, and blanket deportation policies put their lives in danger, as well as damage US communities.
