Building A Stronger Community Together

We commit to supporting Faith in New Jersey as we plan, organize and strategize together to win campaigns that promote racial, immigrant, economic and human justice. We commit to being bold and unapologetic during actions we take on behalf or together with the most vulnerable. We also commit to bringing solutions to the table that build community and encourage others to use their moral and prophetic voices to do justice and fight for human dignity.

Faith Pillars:
✓ Building a sense of community among congregations participating in FINJ
✓ Work with others in FINJ to win campaigns that promote racial, immigrant economic and human justice.
✓ Respectfully and fully bring your congregation's unique cultural and theological orientation to the FINJ community
✓ Help create a learning community within FINJ, by being willing to teach and to learn from others.
✓ Work towards strengthening our multi-faith, multi-racial and multi-cultural organization by focusing on what brings us together instead of what *separates us

Member Organization Responsibilities:
✓ Form a Local Organizing Team of lay members within the congregation-community, with clergy support/ involvement, and learn the *FINJ organizing model
✓ Promote and participate in FINJ training, campaigns and events, through the Local Organizing Committee.
✓ Pay annual member dues.
✓ Elect or appoint a congregational representative to sit on the regional FINJ Board for your area of the state.

Below is a suggestive dues scale that you are free to follow but more importantly, it is about giving from the abundance of your heart so we can continue to stand with our vulnerable families in New Jersey.

.5% (1/2 of 1%) of the member congregation’s annual operating budget with a maximum of $7500 (e.g.: an annual operating budget of $100,000 would yield annual dues of $500)
